Modern Pool Heating

Solar Pool Heating Installation — Largo, FL

Largo, Pinellas County · Completed September 2026

Two banks of solar pool heating collectors on a shingle roof, with the supply and return lines run in white PVC across the roof to the pool equipment.

Finished installation

The larger array with its PVC header run.
Both arrays, on two roof planes.

What this installation involved

  • The collectors are split into two arrays on two roof planes rather than one long run, a common way to get enough collector area when no single plane is big enough.
  • Supply and return lines run in PVC along the roof, strapped down at intervals, and tie each array into the same loop.
  • Shingle is a straightforward roof for pool solar. The hold-down hardware along the collector headers is visible in both photos.
