What this installation involved
- There was no pad where the heat pump needed to go, so the crew leveled concrete block on the gravel first; the clip shows that step.
- GulfStream's manual asks for a flat surface, preferably a concrete or fabricated pad, graded slightly so condensation drains off it. The HE150-RA weighs 239 pounds, so the base has to be solid as well as level.
- The finished base is concrete block with a concrete slab on top, which lifts the unit off the gravel.
